Captivate using HDMI to USB DV / DSLR / Camcorder Link – in place of webcam

I have had a problem when attempting to use Camlink which is just one of the many possible solutions which allow you to use a Camcorder / DV Camera, DSLR Camera etc by providing an HDMI to USB capture card.  Camlink is perhaps the most popular one.

The video quality is so far superior using a more professional camera that I cannot ignore it and therefore am forced to use something other than Captivate.

I have used this hardware with other products including Camtasia and Skype however Captivate immediately closes when Video Demo is selected.  I should add that with Camtasia I must also utilize the free software Manycam as the driver for Camlink.  However that done it works perfectly.

I have created a short video which demonstrates the problem https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bTwbThoOOz0

Does anyone know of a solution to this?

Thank you.

Fit2Learn: Learning How to Learn

Silvia Rosenthal Tolisano schreibt: „The key to learning how to learn is to find examples, ideas, skills, projects, challenges, framework to get fit, develop your strength and test your abilities in learning how to learn for the 22nd century!“

FOSORÉ: Let’s Get More Real With L&D!

Real learning leads to "bang for the buck" outcomes. Everyone can "talk the talk," but seriously, who is "walking the talk"? Imagine an opera singer belting out FOSORÉ, building in crescendo. Applying the 70:20:10 principle is all about FO-SO-RE, the right mix of a formal, social and real L&D approach!
