SCORM 2004 – how to get a failed quiz to close module and next attempt is like new?

Hi all,

I have created a module and need to publish into scorm 2004 for our LMS.

I have the module built where there are a series of knowledge check questions with one attempt.  If the answer is correct, the following slide’s explanation is short.  If the answer is incorrect, the slide’s explanation is longer.

After these knowledge check slides and answers, there is a final quiz.

I want it to work where, if the learner gets the quiz incorrect, the module closes and if they attempt it again, it is like they are starting from scratch.

I’ve been going through the message boards and trying various settings but can’t seem to get it to work.  I would appreciate your advice!

Scorm 2004 missing option reporting status pass/failed option

I have my course completed and the LMS is asking for SCORM 2004 and the Reporting Status: complete/incomplete or passed/failed. I have checked the publishing preferences and I cant find this as an option when I have SCORM 2004 selected. I am only able to see this option when I have internal server selected on the LMS drop down menu.

LMS Reporting cpQuizInfoPretestScorePercentage

Hello – I’m looking for help getting the system variable cpQuizInfoPretestScorePercentage to report out to my LMS. I understand Captivate’s purpose in a pretest question to help direct the learner, but my organization analyzes pre-/post-test scores. I can get the data on each question, but it would be helpful it it reported the full score. Thank you!

How to see Captivate’s SCORM debug logs in an LMS

Even if you’ve setup an Adobe Captivate file to work correctly with a Learning Management System (LMS), not every LMS has great tools for troubleshooting tracking and reporting problems. If your LMS doesn’t have the ability to see SCORM debug logs, the following video will show you how to modify one of Captivate’s published files so you can see the debug logs.

Captivate 2019

Hello all,

I am creating a quiz and I wish to direct the student to content in Confluence. I know I can provide a URL to the content – clicking the link opens a new browser tab, but is it possible to show content inline (within the Captivate course frame) or as a pop-up?

Thank you,
Shawn

P.S. After publishing, it seems that this isn’t going to the Adobe community forum. Is this the appropriate place? I’m kind of a newbie (once an old Captivate expert). It’s been several years since I worked with Captivate. LOL

Freezing Error – Spinning Wheel – SCORM 2004 (4th edition) files dont work in LMS when published using Captivate 2019.

I was creating SCOMR 2004 4th edition files in Adobe Captivate 9.0.230 and it worked just fine in the LMS. I took the same source file and created the SCORM 2004 4th edition video in Adobe Captivate 2019, but the videos dont work in the LMS. It just hangs on spinning wheel.

Below is the console error I get – any help would be greatly appreciated.

Debug window is empty

I’m attempting to troubleshoot an issue where Cornerstone OnDemand (CSOD) isn’t recording data correctly and occasionally isn’t recording completions of trainings. In the scormdriver.js file for a published file I’ve set SHOW_DEBUG_ON_LAUNCH=true; and then uploaded the file to CSOD as well as SCORMCloud, and while the debug window does appear it’s empty and doesn’t show any debug information.

Any ideas about what’s wrong and how to correct this?
