Transferring Captivate from old laptop to new one

Hi,

I’ve been trying to find out whether I need my serial # when transferring Captivate 2019 from my current laptop to a new one.

In the emails received from Adobe after my purchase of Captivate 2019 (Annual Plan) there is no mention of a serial #. It isn’t displayed in any of my Adobe account pages either. I’m wondering if I actually need it when installing on a new laptop and I’d really like to find this out before I start the process.

Any information would be much appreciated.

Thanks,
Susan.

Support Warning

Yesterday,  my creative cloud would not load.  After 2 hours of technical support from Adobe, creative cloud was fixed.  Unfortunately, the fixed was to uninstall all Adobe products, and then re-installing the products.  So I had to install CP 2017 and CP 9.  Support was not aware that they deleted CP, and I was under the assumption that only the cloud products were erased.  Be careful to verify with support about what software they will be removing when they want to do a complete wipe of your Adobe directory.

Merging Profiles

I’m looking for a way to merge the functionality of two of my Adobe accounts. I have one for work where I have Captivate, and my personal one where I have the entire creative cloud suite. To use the creative cloud applications I have to close captivate, open creative cloud, sign into my personal account, and then if I want to go back to using captivate I have to close all of creative cloud apps, open captivate sign into Adobe again, and wait. It’s rather tedious. Does anyone have an idea how to do this?

Do I have to pay an Adobe Stock subscription after purchasing Captivate 2017?

Hi everyone, my organisation has recently purchased Captivate 2017.  The Adobe Captivate marketing material says it has access to over 75,000 free learning assets.

Can you please confirm if this includes access to the in-built My Assets -> Get Adobe Stock Assets? Or is this purely talking about eLearning assets, characters, media, projects and themes? Does my organisation have to purchase a subscription to Adobe Stock to include images into eLearning content?

Thanks,

Maree

Adobe Captivate Subscription upgrade

As you all are aware that the Captivate subscription users are automatically upgraded to the latest version as soon as the newer version comes in the market. The only condition is that at the time of new release the Subscription should be active.

The next question which comes to the mind is being a user how can I install or upgrade to the latest version?

Answer to that is very simple all you need to do is download the trial version of the latest version of Adobe Captivate from the website and then activate it using the Adobe ID and password from which you’ve purchased the subscription. As soon as you will enter the Adobe ID and Password the system will validate from the Adobe Server that you have an active Adobe Captivate subscription and will convert the trial version into full paid version.

The same workflow needs to be followed if you are already paying for the subscription version of Captivate but due to some issues you’ve changed the computer and you want to reinstall on new machine.

Happy Captivating

Himanshu

What do professors think of Coursera’s new subscription model?
